The California Language Access Project (CLAP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that provides immigrants with professional pro bono or low-cost translation and interpretation services, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and legal and other support services.
CLAP assists immigrants and other immigrant aid organizations and associations with access to professional language services throughout each individual person's process of obtaining or renewing lawful residency in the United States. Our goal is to ensure that all those seeking lawful entry or stay in the United States are aware of their rights and obligations and fully understand any and all processes or procedures in which they are involved.
Our country was founded on the idea that the American Dream was open to everyone, and that idea still persists. Our mission, therefore, is to ensure that anyone who wishes to immigrate to the US is given the same opportunities to succeed as those who are fortunate enough to be born here.
